Creative Writing Club

The EC Creative Writing Club is dedicated to encouraging writers in exploring their talents, discovering their range beyond the normal writing produced at a college level. We seek to be a place where creative minds can interact with others in an atmosphere conducive to exploring the depths of the imagination. With our workshop and brainstorming sessions we aim to energize writers and inspire them to greater heights of accomplishment. We wish to be a forum where writers can hone their skills through discussion with their fellows. We encourage our members to submit their pieces for publishing in journals and magazines and plan to have a submission workshop at least once a semester to go into the how’s and where-to’s. Through our on-campus events we shall endeavor to entice more students to discover the joy of words, stories, to find the characters that live within each of us.

Pre-Health Club

The primary objective of this club is to provide information to the students at Eckerd College involving their pre-health professional decisions. This club will be instrumental in giving them the experiences and help they will need to get into a Dental, Medical, or Veterinary school. The Pre-Health Professionals will also be a group that gives support to the students in regard to their schoolwork, social life, and the stresses to applying to a graduate program.
